Trilateral Research has an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Sociotech for Good Team. The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for informing, developing and realizing the product vision as established in partnership with Senior Management and internal stakeholders for a single product/use case.

What are your responsibilities?
Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap
Work with Senior Management on the product vision and strategy and maintain associated documentation (Product Roadmap, Impact Map & all user/market related documentation).
Drive an understanding of the product with other stakeholders internally and externally, tailoring messages to audiences.
Liaise with the Engineering Manager to manage, monitor and evaluate the day-to-day realization of the product roadmap through internal communication and the maintenance of a product backlog that is agreed through the PMC process.
Liaise with Senior Management to agree quarterly objectives and key results to realize the product vision and roadmap.
Product Sales & Marketing & Customer Satisfaction
Communicate product vision, specification and value proposition with Marketing team to develop collateral, content and messaging to support marketing and sales effort ensuring a focus on target markets.
Act as a filter to the wider product team and to senior management team to ensure sensitive and timely manner of feedback in line with the product roadmap, product vision and tactics.
Support efforts to ensure customer satisfaction of the product through direct and indirect engagement and support customer implementation and onboarding via training and initial guidance and troubleshooting, alongside efforts to pilot and evaluate the product with prospective customers.
Capturing and documenting feedback and learnings as appropriate to drive ongoing development to ensure the product’s operational use meets Trilateral Research’s ethical standards.
Product Innovation, Development & User Testing
Manage the inputs & decisions from the company’s Product Management Committee, ensuring alignment between senior management and efforts relating to product innovation and development ensuring updates are made to all related documentation and evolve strategies and tactics and learnings.
Work closely with Product Design, Data Science and Engineering teams and subject matter experts to realise product roadmap at the sprint level and ensuring a shared understanding of what is valuable, usable, feasible, and valid.
Support the incorporation of the sociotechnical considerations into product definition, user stories & acceptance criteria and the ethical implications of product development, by incorporating the ethical and data privacy impact assessments and security assessments into product definition, user stories, acceptance criteria and other means.
Collaborate with the product team and other stakeholders to identify and document a pipeline of future innovation areas and feed into existing company processes to secure funding and/or permission to pursue.
Contributing to the Product Management Function
Conduct wider reading/engagement on product management to capture lessons for the discipline from industry.
Work with other Product Managers in the company to cultivate and share best practices and ensure a consistent company approach to product management.

What experience will you bring to the role?
Interpersonal Skills:
Proven experience in working in interdisciplinary product teams
Strong listening skills and emotional intelligence and able to synthesize information
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Evidence of good relationship management and ability to build trust in internal and external working relationships
Demonstrable influencing skills.
General Knowledge and Technical Skills:
Excellent time management and organization, inclusive of project management expertise to support coordination, monitoring and evaluation across priorities.
Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities.
Experienced in a product management or business analyst role.
Good experience of implementing agile & scrum methodologies to software development.
Experience in development and delivery of SaaS (Software as a Service) products and full software development lifecycle (discovery/development/production systems).
Experience in working with business leads & supporting the prioritization and planning to realize business objectives.
Strong ability to navigate complexity and reduce uncertainty and chart a well-reasoned plan of action.
Willingness to develop understanding of sociotechnical development and explainable AI.
Required Education and Experience:
Essential:
Experience of SaaS product management and software development lifecycle (2+ years).
Bachelor’s degree in business related subject.
Effective project management skills - time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload at pace.
Strong ability to navigate complexity and chart a well-reasoned plan of action.
Leadership experience.
Desirable:
Experience in successfully applying agile principles, tools, and methods.
Relevant product management qualifications/certifications.
Experience of working with the public sector.
Demonstrable interest in and understanding of the sociotechnical implications of using data science and cloud platforms for delivering social good. |
