Looking to make your next career move in finance? Are you confident in your advanced Excel skillset? Then you may want to review our open position for a Senior Finance Officer to join our Corporate Finance team at Trilateral Research.
The successful candidate will provide financial administration, reporting and support to colleagues, clients and stakeholders of the business in order to meet business needs and create robust policies and procedures to scale a quickly growing business. This role would require a leadership element in proactively improving practices and anticipating the financial management needs of the organisation.

What are your responsibilities?
To include but not limited to the following:
Treasury:
Provide timely and accurate cash flow statements to enable Senior Management to plan for operational funding requirements.
Support the CFO in developing reports and completing analysis of financial data and trends.
Reporting:
Preparing information for corporate financial reports.
Providing regularly monthly reporting as required by Senior Management.
Support annual or periodic statutory filing.
Collect and provide data for distribution via management reporting dashboard(s).
Policies & Procedures:
Daily usage of financial processes, enhancing and updating where needed.
Developing documentation related to finance policies and procedures and improving these on an ongoing basis.
Other areas of responsibility to support the wider Finance team may include:
Finance Operations
Revenue management
Expenses management
Fixed assets management
Payroll and pensions management
Internal systems support
Skills and experience you will bring to the role:
Interpersonal skills:
Customer-focused experience.
Highly detailed oriented.
Strong communication skills, particularly ability to communicate complex financial information to non-specialist audiences; ability to work across all levels of the organisation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise.
Good time management skills – ability to manage conflicting demands on time and tasks.
Ability to work autonomously and on own initiative and manage expectations with stakeholders.
Proactively manage own assigned areas, producing results on a timely basis.
Professional knowledge and technical skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to this role.
Use of computer and accounting packages including Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills.
Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
Ability to perform project planning/project management tasks for small-scale internal projects.
Required education and experience:
Essential:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualification or equivalent (candidates with relevant experience will be considered).
Use of computer and accounting packages including Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills is essential.
Minimum of five years accounting experience.
Desirable:
Experience assisting with software transitioning.
Experience with Quickbooks.
Experience using expenses management software such as Concur.
