As the senior user researcher, you’ll lead on user research and testing in the content design team. You’ll make sure that Scope’s support and advice content helps disabled people and their families solve problems.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, agile team.
Permanent, full time (35 hours a week)
Location: You will live within commuting distance of one of Scope’s offices in London (E15 2GW), Leeds (LS10 1JF) Cardiff (CF11 9AU) or Manchester (M1 4LF) and you will be able to work flexibly between home and the office.

The role
The purpose of this role is to lead the user research function for Scope’s support and advice content.
You will deliver user research and testing to make sure that content helps disabled people and their families to solve problems.
You will:
• Organise and carry out research to understand the needs of our customers
• Work with content designers to plan content to meet those needs
• Join critical reviews of new content
• Use data and testing to find out where to improve content
• Support the design of intuitive information architecture by running card sorts and tree tests
• Manage and develop the skills of a more junior user researcher
• Manage supplier relationships if we outsource research or testing

About you
You have a passion for user-centred content design. You're committed to understanding the problems faced by disabled people and their families.
You’ll be someone who:
• Has experience of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Has used other data sources such as web analytics and online search data.
• Has carried out research and testing to support information content design.
But most important, you’ll love working as part of a team to make sure that Scope’s information and advice content is the best it can be.
